Hours and clocking

What does Afiyet do with the Dutch hospitality CAO?

Afiyet sorts the hours into the right buckets (youth-wage check, waiting day, sick, public holidays); percentages and the payslip stay with your payroll.

The CAO Horeca is the collective labour agreement that applies to almost every Dutch venue. It covers minimum wages per age (youth wage), the unpaid waiting day when someone calls in sick, sick pay and public-holiday supplements.

Afiyet checks the hourly rate against the statutory minimum youth wage for the employee's age (which is why the date of birth matters), keeps waiting day and sick hours apart from worked hours, and flags hours on public holidays.

The percentages, supplements and the payslip itself are applied by your payroll provider. Afiyet delivers the hours so that this needs no lookups.

Afiyet is not legal advice. In doubt about a rule, ask your accountant or the KHN.
